Description

Flexible enrollment allows students to join the Health Sciences Career Club after the start date, with registration remaining open through December.

The Health Sciences Career Club offers a program designed to immerse high school students throughout the academic year in the diverse and dynamic world of healthcare professions. Meeting monthly from September through May, the club serves as a comprehensive platform for students to explore a wide range of healthcare fields, including medicine, nursing, public health, and medical research.

By participating in this club, students have the unique opportunity to develop essential leadership skills and prepare academically for future careers in healthcare. The program brings together motivated students from across Nebraska, Kansas, and beyond, creating a collaborative environment where participants can share ideas, experiences, and career aspirations.

The club also provides practical guidance on how to find and succeed in shadowing opportunities, with connections available through our network of 20 hospital partners. In addition, students learn about scholarship opportunities at the University of Nebraska at Kearney, including the Kearney Health Opportunities Program (KHOP) and Health Science Scholars.

Career Club meets via Zoom at 7:00 p.m. Central Time on the following dates:
