UNK Health Sciences Career Club 26-27

Description

The Health Sciences Career Club offers a year-round program designed to immerse high school students in the diverse and dynamic world of healthcare professions. Meeting on a weekly basis, the club serves as a comprehensive platform for students to delve into various healthcare fields, from medicine and nursing to public health and medical research.

By participating in this club, students have the unique opportunity to develop essential leadership skills and prepare academically for future careers in healthcare. The program is not limited to a single school or district; instead, it brings together like-minded students from across Nebraska and Kansas, fostering a collaborative environment where participants can share insights, experiences, and aspirations.

In addition to regular meetings and educational sessions, the club offers optional tours of local hospitals. These visits provide an invaluable, behind-the-scenes look at healthcare settings, allowing students to witness medical professionals in action and gain a deeper understanding of the day-to-day operations within various healthcare departments.
