Leadership
Description
This course shows that leadership is a set of skills that can be learned and developed, whether or not learners currently hold a leadership position. Learners explore common leadership qualities and models, the responsibilities leaders hold to organizations and individuals, and the role of values and emotional intelligence in effective leadership. Through self-assessment and journaling, learners examine their own behavior and build practical skills in team building, communication, coaching, and mentoring. The course then applies these skills to personal and professional settings, covering behavioral styles, influence and collaboration, strategic vision, leading cultural change, and encouraging creative thinking in others.
